Ducati has been noticeably absent from one of the most competitive domestic Superbike series in the world this year, the British Superbike Championship (BSB). Now the twin is back at least for the final two rounds of the 2009 BSB championship with Michael Rutter on board.
Rutter rode for the Alistair Kennedy owned team last year securing four podiums and a win so hopes are high that a Ducati will feature prominently in the last two races at Silverstone and Oulton park on September 25-27th and October 9-11th respectively.
Michael Rutter:- “Alistair Kennedy still had our two Ducatis from last season and we spoke several times and decided if we could get the sponsorship together that we would get them back out again for the final rounds… It’s definitely good to be bringing Ducati back to the championship; my dad won with Ducati and I have won several races with them, including on this bike last year at Mallory Park so we know we should be competitive.”
