When Davide Tardozzi left the Ducati WSBK team at the end of the 2009 season many expected that he, too, would at some point join WSBK organizer FG Sport. After all both WSBK honcho Paolo Ciabatti and series PR Man Julian Thomas are ex-Ducati Corse and now work for the Flammini brothers and company.
Interestingly, Tardozzi won't be working in WSBK administration in 2010--instead he will be joining BMW's WSBK effort as the German squad's new Team Manager.
This move will, of course, reunite Tardozzi with two of his former riders, Troy Corser and Ruben Xaus. While Corser and Tardozzi have had their share of heated conversations over the years, Xaus was a Tardozzi "special project" of sorts at Ducati Corse and he enjoyed a nurturing relationship with the former WSBK pioneer rider turned team manager.
